Autumn is my absolute favorite season! I love the colors, the chill in the air, the beginning of the holiday season, the new beginnings, and all the gatherings that start to happen! Spending quality time with friends and family helps us prolong and create traditions. We get to meet new people and learn new things about those we already know and love. Holiday parties from Halloween to New Year's give us so many opportunities to share stories, experiences, and love.
Unfortunately, all that awesome togetherness can expose us to more than good gossip. Germs abound in fall. Runny noses, coughs, sore throats, and more seem to find everyone. There are plenty of precautions we can take. Some examples are: Wash your hands frequently with soap.Sneeze into a your elbow (or into a tissue and then wash your hands).Drink plenty of water.Stay home when you're sick.Eat healthy whole foods.Get plenty of rest.

"I just don't have time!"
This is probably the Number 1 reason people have for not exercising. I know it was one of my top two. It sounds like a valid argument, too. I mean, once you've explained to someone how much you are expected to squeeze into the already-not-enough hours in a day, how could they tell you to do more, right?!?
If you're like me, you're busy more than you're not. When I was a single mom, I spent a long time, working long hours (sometimes at two jobs). When my kids were with me, I spent every moment that I wasn't working or commuting with them. When they were with their dad, I worked even longer hours, ran my errands, did my shopping and house hunting, and basically kept myself as busy as possible to try and not feel my kids' absence.
I've had people tell me that with a full time job, being a full time student, and having a full time family, they enjoy an hour-long workout every morning.
I must confess that I used to looooooooove ramen noodles! I did! I loved them! They're awful for you, being nothing more than a concoction of preservatives, salt and wheat. I used to use very little water, half the flavor packet, and add veggies and cheese. Yum!!! What a great, low budget meal, right? *hanging my head in shame*
When I started making serious efforts to get healthy, I began to scrutinize labels. One glance at what ramen had to offer and it was outta here. Now that I have celiac disease, I'm even less tempted by them. (I mean, if I'm going to make myself sick over gluten, it's going to be for something much more fun than ramen noodles!) Every now and again, though, the mood strikes. As I was walking through Harmon's (local grocery store) I stumbled upon Rice Ramen. This particular flavor is wakame and brown (rice). Wakame is a sea vegetable (aka seaweed). Let's see what we've got here. #GlutenFree #ReducedSodium #OrganicRice #NonGMOIngredient…
